Indie Spirit nominee, Misty Upham, joins the stellar cast of August: Osage County.
According to Variety, Misty, of Blackwood heritage, will play Johnna Monevata, the college student who was hired by Beverly Weston to work for the family days before he disappeared.
Upham’s screen credits include Big Love and Frozen River, where she bagged an Indie Spirit nomination and an American Indian Movie Award for her role as Lila Littlewolf.
Misty will appear later this year in the Tarantino flick Django Unchained starring Jaimie Foxx, Christoph Waltz and Leonardo DiCaprio.
