A few months ago, rumors of Meryl Streep leading the production of acclaimed musical ‘Into the Woods’ at Central Park have surfaced. Now, Meryl’s named have been attached once again to the musical.This time, it would be a stage adaptation helmed by Chicago director, Rob Marshal.
The Tracking Board reports that Meryl is set to play the role of the Witch, which was originated by Bernadette Peters on Broadway.
James Lapine is adapting the original script by musical mogul Stephen Sondheim.
